Ken's Hatchery & Fish Farm, Inc. is proud to announce it now has a new service available! We now have a Field Technician who can come to your pond and perform the following services for you:

Dye water with Ocean Blue to prevent growth of weeds and algae.
Clear up muddy water.
Test oxygen level, a crucial factor for life of fish.
Improve the water quality with additives that will improve pH, total hardiness, and total alkalinity.
Check and remove ammonia, the Number 1 cause of fish deaths.
Check and treat fish for worms and disease.
Kill algae and weeds.
Set up aerators, cages and feeders.
Execute a fish kill so that a pond can be restocked, ensuring quality of fish and maximum fish growth.

Our field technician is licensed to apply chemicals. An underwater camera is available to explore your pond. No pond or job is too big or too small. Pond size and volume of water can be calibrated to help determine treatment choices. Chemicals needed can be delivered and applied. Old ponds can be sterilized. Species of fish and stocking rate for your pond can be recommended.

Send us your water samples, weed samples, and algae samples for a free analysis and recommendation for your pond. Simply follow instructions below. We can also quote you a cost for a turn-key job at your pond. Send water, weed, or algae samples for each pond you have. Number each pond, and put pond size and average depth on each sample. Write your name, address, and phone number on each sample. Ship sample on a Monday or Tuesday.

Water Sample:

Use clean jar.
Take sample from as deep as possible.
Tape lid to jar to prevent leakage.
Make certain sample is clean of algae or weeds.

Algae or Weed Sample:

DO NOT PUT IN PLASTIC BAG OR JAR.
Wrap in damp paper towel.
Then wrap bundle in dry newspaper.
Place in shipping box.
